Whitewater (WI) – February 11, 2016 – First Citizens State Bank has welcomed a new financial advisor to its financial services program. Aurelio Callope, an LPL registered financial advisor with over 13 years of experience, joins a team of consultants dedicated to providing an array of financial products and services that best serve their clients.

Through First Citizens State Bank’s agreement with LPL Financial, customers have access to a variety of financial products and services, including professional money management, retirement planning, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, life insurance, long term care and much more.

Aurelio Callope has been serving clients in the investment and financial advising industry since 2002 and in the broader financial services industry for over 27 years. He and his wife, Diana, have been Whitewater residents for over 25 years and raised two sons. Aurelio is and has been involved in the local community serving in various capacities with his church and local organizations including the Whitewater Rotary Club, Whitewater Soccer Club, and Whitewater Unified School District. His educational background includes attending Marquette University and University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where he earned his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree – Finance in 1989. Aurelio is a fully registered, insurance licensed, experienced financial professional.

FCSB & PSB Merger

PALMYRA (WI) – October 26, 2015 – Palmyra State Bank, (Palmyra, WI) has announced it has agreed to merge with First Citizens State Bank, (Whitewater, WI).   With over a 30 year affiliation with First Citizens State Bank, Whitewater, Wisconsin, President Mike Mikkelsen along with the Board of Directors announced that Palmyra State Bank will merge with the Whitewater bank and become First Citizens State Bank, Palmyra Branch.  The Palmyra branch office will continue to serve the local community with the same staff and will expand its services to better serve the community.  The decision now goes to the regulators, and if approved, the merger is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2016.

First Citizens State Bank’s President, Jim Caldwell, said “Merging the two organizations will allow Palmyra State Bank customers to become part of a larger organization that will give them the benefit of multiple locations and expanded services”. The Palmyra office will be able to make larger loans than it has in the past as well as offer a wider variety of investment products. Palmyra State Bank traces its charter back to the formation of Farmers Savings Bank that opened in 1911.  Due to the Great Depression, Bank of Palmyra merged with Farmers Savings Bank in 1931 and was renamed Palmyra State Bank.  The bank moved into its current location in 1998 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011.
